Kyle was notorious for his loyalty. To his family. His friends. And to his Fresno State Bulldogs. He lived for all things Bulldog. Hence never giving up our football season tickets. Even during a really bad losing season. You could find Kyle and the rest of our family sitting in our seats. A bare stadium. But Kyle would be there – cheering, fist pumping away. Kyle’s love and loyalty to the Valley and all things Bulldog started when he transferred to Fresno State to play baseball after three high performing years playing at Cal Poly.  Transferring in your senior year of athletics is often unheard of and very difficult. Coach Batesole took a chance on Kyle and offered him a baseball scholarship. Kyle was known for his big bat and for the way he carried himself on and off the field. He was the guy everyone loved. He worked hard. Everyday. In and out of the classroom. A newspaper once described Kyle and his baseball career as a man who, “walked softly and carried a big stick”. He was humble to his core. Kyle never took Coach Batesole giving him that opportunity for granted. From that one season that he played at Fresno State, his love and loyalty to the Bulldog Baseball program was born. The Kyle S. Wilson Endowed Baseball Scholarship was started at California State University Fresno as a way to honor Kyle and continue his legacy. A way to give back to the community Kyle loved so much. The program that gave Kyle a chance to succeed not only on the baseball field, but in life. The Scholarship helps Bulldog baseball players that go “Beyond the Game” academically, Athletically and socially just as Kyle did. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for contributing to the Kyle S. Wilson Scholarship so we can help others “Live the Dream” just as Kyle did everyday of his life.

With Love,
